Midwest Communications has promoted Nick Manente to vice president and market manager in Evansville, Indiana, succeeding retiring market leader Tim Huelsing.
RAMP’s November 5 report, quoting Midwest President Peter Tanz, says Manente returned to the company as general sales manager in 2024. His broadcasting career began in Evansville in 2008.
The group comprises WIKY, WSTO, WABX and WLYD. Country Aircheck also reported the promotion and said Huelsing retired after 23 years in the market.
The appointment moves an executive with broadcast and digital sales experience into responsibility for the full local operation. The reports did not announce programming changes.
