Warner Music Group has acquired independent-label distributor Zebralution Music GmbH from Bookwire, adding a German and European distribution business to its operation.

The November 3 announcement identifies the acquired company as a spin-off of Zebralution GmbH. Bookwire bought the wider Zebralution group earlier this year.

Co-founders and co-CEOs Konrad von Löhneysen and Sascha Lazimbat will remain in charge, working with Warner Music Central Europe President Niels Walboomers.

WMG says partner labels will gain access to its technology, including distribution, analytics and financial tools from Revelator, which it acquired earlier in 2026. Zebralution’s leaders said the existing team and label relationships would continue.

For independent labels, the practical questions are how those tools will be introduced and what changes, if any, follow for reporting and service terms. The announcement does not provide an integration timetable or purchase price. Promised technology access should not be confused with a demonstrated increase in label revenue.
