PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA — Scott Masteller will retire as program director of Beasley Media Group’s 97.5 The Fanatic, WPEN-FM, effective December 31.
The retirement concludes a radio career spanning more than 45 years. Masteller joined The Fanatic more than three years ago and helped reshape the sports station’s programming strategy and on-air lineup.
His earlier work included seven years leading WBAL NewsRadio in Baltimore and 13 years with ESPN, including program-director duties in Dallas-Fort Worth and senior content responsibilities at ESPN Radio’s Bristol, Connecticut, headquarters.
Beasley says Masteller will assist the company in identifying the station’s next programming leader.
