Radio France has expanded Mon petit France Inter to DAB+, adding digital broadcast distribution to a children’s service previously available online.
In its October 26 announcement, the public broadcaster said the service, launched in October 2025, had accumulated more than 3 million listens. That figure describes listening activity, not a verified count of individual children.
The free, advertising-free offering combines stories, fiction, music, science and news, with programming drawn from Radio France’s networks. It remains available through the broadcaster’s website and app and includes material for younger children previously carried by Mon tout petit France Inter.
For programmers, the development raises a useful distribution question: can an existing audio catalog become more useful when arranged around a family’s daily routine and carried as a continuous station?
The launch establishes another way to receive the service. It does not, by itself, establish a gain in audience or an educational outcome. Those are follow-up questions for audience researchers, educators and the families using it.
