DETROIT — The Detroit Pistons have detailed a 2026-27 local broadcast plan that puts 71 regular-season games on free over-the-air television while keeping every game on Audacy’s 97.1 The Ticket.
Scripps-owned TV20 will serve as the primary local television home in Detroit, with additional broadcast partners extending coverage to markets across Michigan. The locally televised games will also be available through DAZN.
On radio, 97.1 The Ticket will carry the full schedule, with WWJ 950 AM and WDZH 98.7 FM providing additional coverage when conflicts arise. Mark Champion and Rick Mahorn return as the radio broadcast team.
The expanded distribution is significant because it gives fans multiple free and paid paths to the same local sports product: over-the-air television, terrestrial radio and streaming. It also continues the broader return of major-league sports to free broadcast television in several U.S. markets.
