Mike Stern will become director of programming at Zimmer Communications on November 16, moving from Jacobs Media into a station-group role.
He will oversee programming, music and on-air strategy, working with Corporate Operations Director Trevor Morgan and General Manager Carla Leible. Stern has consulted Zimmer for more than a decade, according to the appointment announcement reported by RAMP.
Radio Ink reports that his responsibilities cover Zimmer’s stations in Columbia, Jefferson City and Springfield, Missouri. The move brings a longtime outside adviser into direct responsibility for the group’s programming and talent development.
