Red Apple Audio Networks is taking Michael Cohen’s weekly WABC radio program national, adding another high-profile personality to the syndication market.
When You Know, You Know is scheduled to begin national syndication on November 1. The one-hour Sunday program currently airs on 77 WABC in New York from 5 to 6 p.m. Eastern and centers on politics, legal issues, current events and listener calls.
The expansion comes roughly two months after the program launched on WABC. Red Apple says affiliate interest and audience growth helped drive the decision to offer the show nationally. The company cited a 17% increase in audience share in the time period and a 35% rise in average active sessions for the live stream; those figures were supplied by Red Apple as part of its syndication announcement.
Cohen previously served as executive vice president and special counsel to Donald Trump before their relationship publicly broke down. More recently, Cohen and President Trump have resumed public conversations, including an August radio interview on Cohen’s WABC program. RNN is treating the new syndication deal as a radio-industry development rather than an endorsement of the political views expressed on the show.
For stations, the move gives Red Apple another nationally available personality-driven talk product as the company continues expanding its syndication and news operations.
