Fox News Media is expanding its podcast portfolio with a new weekly program built around a rotating group of female hosts and guests.
the Girls will debut October 1, with new episodes scheduled every Thursday across Fox News Digital, YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and other major podcast platforms. Fox says the show will use a conversational format covering news, politics, pop culture, relationships, careers and other topics.
The premiere lineup is expected to include Rachel Campos-Duffy, Harris Faulkner, Kat Timpf, Melissa DeRosa and Samantha Ponder. Subsequent episodes will rotate participants rather than use a fixed panel.
The launch reflects the continuing convergence of television personalities, podcasting and video distribution. For legacy media companies, podcast programming increasingly serves as both an extension of existing talent brands and a way to reach audiences outside traditional linear schedules.
