SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS — Two longtime KABB television personalities have disappeared from the station’s online roster amid recent newsroom reductions.
Meteorologist Alex Garcia and sports director Chuck Miketinac have reportedly been off the air since September 8 and are no longer listed on the KABB website.
Garcia joined KABB in 1996 and helped launch the station’s Fox News at Nine newscast. Miketinac also arrived in 1995 and later became sports director.
Sinclair previously confirmed that a small number of positions were eliminated inside the shared WOAI-KABB content center but did not identify every affected employee. The company has not individually confirmed Garcia’s or Miketinac’s employment status.
Until either the station or the individuals provides confirmation, the observable facts should remain separate from any assumptions about the circumstances of their absence.
