AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS — The International Broadcasting Convention, or IBC, concluded September 14 after four days of broadcast, streaming, production and media-technology demonstrations.

Organizers report that IBC2026 attracted approximately 45,000 attendees from more than 170 countries and included 1,300 exhibitors across 14 halls.

The next useful step for broadcasters is separating completed deployments from exhibition-floor previews. RNN’s post-show coverage will concentrate on demonstrated interoperability, operation during internet or cloud failure, configuration export, security, support commitments and complete ownership cost.

Particular attention will go to products that smaller radio and television operations could realistically install, maintain and continue using after the initial subscription or support agreement.
