BURBANK, California — The Walt Disney Company has agreed to license a selection of movies and television programs to Netflix, including content made for Disney+ and titles tied to Disney’s broadcast and studio businesses.

The first two seasons of the Disney+ original Percy Jackson and the Olympians and all five existing Ice Age films will begin streaming globally on Netflix on October 4 for three-month windows, according to the companies. The timing places both libraries on Netflix ahead of new installments in their respective franchises.

The agreement also covers the television series Will Trent and selected Disney and Pixar films including Soul, Elio and Raya and the Last Dragon. The three films are expected to reach Netflix beginning in early 2027, with launch dates and availability varying by region.

The deal is a selective distribution shift, not a wholesale transfer of Disney’s library. Disney said most Disney-branded titles will remain exclusive to its own streaming services and television channels. No broad Netflix access to the company’s Marvel or Star Wars libraries was announced.

What remains undisclosed: The companies did not release financial terms or the full duration and territory details for every title. It also remains unclear whether the arrangement will expand beyond the announced slate.
