William Varnier’s appointment as general manager of WDBJ in Roanoke, Virginia, takes effect October 5 under the schedule announced by Gray Media.
Gray announced the move August 31. Varnier comes from KCTV in Kansas City, Missouri, where he served as creative services director for nearly three years.
A Virginia native, he previously worked at WTKR and WVEC in Norfolk and graduated from Old Dominion University.
This is the scheduled start of a previously announced appointment.
