Steve Seel Succeeds John Birge in YourClassical MPR Mornings

ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA — Minnesota Public Radio has named Steve Seel the new weekday morning host on YourClassical MPR 99.5 KSJN in the Minneapolis–St. Paul market.

Seel begins October 5, succeeding John Birge, who signed off in August after 21 years in mornings and 29 years with Classical Minnesota Public Radio.

Seel currently hosts Sunday through Tuesday evenings, the nationally distributed concert program SymphonyCast and regional concert broadcasts involving the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. He will continue hosting SymphonyCast, while Extra Eclectic airs its final episode September 28.

Seel was also one of the founding voices of The Current when it launched in 2005 and later co-hosted that station’s morning program with Jill Riley.
