ROCHESTER, New York — Scott Spezzano will leave mornings at WBZA, 98.9 The Buzz, with his final show scheduled for December 18, 2026. Sandy Waters will remain with the program.
Spezzano’s announcement closes a major chapter in a 50-year radio career. He and Waters began their partnership at WPXY in 1999 and moved to The Buzz in 2014. Although some coverage described the move as retirement, Spezzano has indicated that he is not necessarily leaving radio altogether. His next role has not been announced.
