Red Seat Ventures has announced an exclusive partnership with Homecoming Golf, extending its creator-led programming business into another sports franchise.
Under the October 29 announcement from Fox Corporation, Red Seat will hold exclusive audio and video rights for key Homecoming properties, including Drink Cart Scramble and Marquee Match Series, and support programming on YouTube and other platforms.
The companies say the first match will premiere November 24 on YouTube with LeBron James. That is a scheduled release, not a program already available to viewers.
For independent producers, the deal illustrates how distribution and advertising support can be packaged around a personality-driven franchise rather than a conventional broadcast schedule. The announcement does not disclose financial terms or establish how much revenue the programming will generate.
The question for smaller creators is which services justify granting exclusive rights—and which rights they need to retain. Audience access, sponsor relationships and the ability to distribute future work deserve as much attention as the initial launch.
