LOS ANGELES, California — Mike Horn, founder of CRN Digital Talk Radio, has died at 74 following a long illness, Radio Ink reported October 9.
Horn launched Cable Radio Network in 1983, pursuing distribution beyond the traditional broadcast dial. The company later became CRN Digital Talk Radio.
The former Los Angeles personality’s career illustrates radio’s long history of finding additional distribution channels, decades before today’s streaming applications.
