HOUSTON, TEXAS — KPRC-TV has added Emmy Award-winning journalist Leigha McNeil to its morning team as traffic anchor and reporter.
McNeil joins KPRC from WWL-TV in New Orleans, where she worked as a morning reporter and traffic anchor. She began her career as a production assistant before moving into reporting and anchoring positions in Louisiana and Texas. Her work includes co-creating the Emmy-winning Black History Month special Uncovering Our History.
The appointment restores a designated morning traffic position at KPRC after approximately two years without one. McNeil will cover crashes, construction, closures and severe-weather effects while also reporting community stories.
