Radio stations preparing for Veterans Day have a new programming option: Fisher House Foundation is offering a free three-hour special hosted by Larry O’Connor, with shorter versions available for other formats.

Together in Mission: The Fisher House Journey is available for Wednesday, November 11, 2026, and the surrounding holiday period, according to Radio Online. Participating stations face no cash or barter requirement.

The program features veterans and military families discussing medical crises, recovery and the help they received from Fisher House. The foundation provides lodging without charge to military and veteran families while a loved one receives treatment.

A ready-made special, with room for local reporting

O’Connor, who hosts Salem Radio Network’s O’Connor & Company, leads the interviews. Barrett Media also reported the availability of the special and directs interested stations to the foundation’s radio registration and demonstration site.

Program directors should confirm the exact version, timing and broadcast terms with the distributor before scheduling. RNN could not independently open the registration site during this report; the offer is corroborated by the two trade publications.

For stations, the value extends beyond filling a holiday block. A local follow-up could explain where military families in the listening area can obtain support, using independently verified service information and interviews.

Because the special is supplied by the foundation it describes, stations should identify its source clearly. Separately reported local coverage can add context while preserving the distinction between a nonprofit’s own account and independent journalism.
