STAMFORD, Connecticut — Doc Rivers is returning to broadcasting as a National Basketball Association game analyst for NBC Sports beginning next month.
Rivers brings more than four decades of professional basketball experience as a player and head coach. He previously worked in broadcasting with Turner Sports and ESPN and appeared as an NBC studio analyst during the 2012 London Olympics.
His son, Austin Rivers, is also part of NBC Sports’ National Basketball Association coverage.
NBC has not announced Doc Rivers’ complete game schedule, broadcast partners or how frequently he will appear across NBC, Peacock and NBC Sports Network. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The addition gives NBC another experienced coaching voice as it expands its professional-basketball coverage and analyst roster.
