CLEVELAND, OHIO — Every Cleveland Cavaliers preseason, regular-season and playoff game will air exclusively through a 19-station iHeartMedia radio network during the 2026–27 season.
Newsradio WTAM 1100/106.9 FM and rock station WMMS 100.7 FM continue as the Cleveland flagships. Affiliates extend the network into Akron, Canton, Columbus, Dayton, Toledo and Youngstown, Ohio; Erie, Pennsylvania; and Parkersburg, West Virginia, among other communities.
Tim Alcorn returns for his eighth season as play-by-play announcer. Cavaliers reporter Serena Winters will join him for selected nationally distributed broadcasts. Mike Snyder returns for his 35th season leading pregame, halftime and postgame coverage, with Brad Sellers continuing as postgame analyst.
Free television expands while radio consolidates
The radio arrangement arrives as the Cavaliers expand their free over-the-air television package from five games last season to 15 during 2026–27. That creates two different distribution strategies: broader free television access and a radio network controlled entirely by one station owner.
The consolidation gives the team coordinated promotion, sales and digital distribution across the network. It also raises questions about whether independent affiliates were displaced, how local advertising inventory will be divided and whether every market receives the complete pregame and postgame presentation.
Rock Entertainment Group’s Cleveland Monsters and Cleveland Charge will also remain on iHeartMedia outlets.
