PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania — Audacy changed WTDY-FM from hot adult contemporary to country Monday, October 19, launching US 96.5 in place of The New 96.5.

The immediate format switch adds a country competitor to Beasley Media Group’s 92.5 XTU, WXTU-FM. Radio Ink confirmed the replacement of the former format.

In its October 19 announcement, Audacy said US 96.5 will run commercial-free until October 24 and begin its regular weekday lineup October 26. The company described the music mix as current country hits and new releases.

The announced schedule includes Katie and Company from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Coop from 3 to 7 p.m.; Rob and Holly from 7 p.m. to midnight; and Mo and StyckMan from midnight to 5 a.m. All times are Eastern.

Audacy said a new morning show will occupy the 5–10 a.m. weekday slot, but did not identify the hosts. The company counts US 96.5 as its 24th country station.
