NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana — Ashley Talley has been named news director at WWL-TV, moving within Tegna from WZZM-TV in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Talley brings more than 20 years of newsroom experience and has held leadership positions at several Tegna stations. Her background includes interim news-director duties at WOI-TV in Des Moines, Iowa, and interim news-management work at WGRZ-TV in Buffalo, New York, and KSDK-TV in St. Louis, Missouri.
She previously served as enterprise executive producer at WRAL-TV in Raleigh, North Carolina; news director at WMBF-TV in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and assistant news director at WCTI-TV in eastern North Carolina.
Talley will lead WWL-TV as the station prepares new morning and evening news teams. Her move also creates a news-director opening at WZZM-TV.
