MaxxKonnect Group has acquired FCCInfo.com from Cavell, Mertz & Associates, placing a widely used broadcast-records resource under new ownership.

In a November 4 Radio World report, MaxxKonnect President and CEO Josh Bohn said existing searches would remain free. Additional premium features could eventually carry fees.

Bohn said the company plans to modernize the underlying code and may later redesign the interface. Cavell Mertz will remain involved as an adviser.

FCCInfo.com is a private service, not an FCC website. It makes public regulatory records easier to search, including station and antenna-structure information. That distinction matters when researchers use the service to investigate ownership, facilities or technical applications.

The immediate promise is continuity of access. The practical test will be whether modernization improves searches without disrupting familiar workflows. Engineers and researchers should continue to check record dates and consult original FCC documents when a licensing or ownership conclusion depends on them.
