Gray Media has named Jennifer Rieffer general manager of WBTV, its CBS affiliate in Charlotte, North Carolina, effective November 16, 2026.
Rieffer moves from WXIX FOX19 in Cincinnati, which she joined in 2021. Gray’s October 26 announcement credits her with helping WXIX secure its Cincinnati Bengals flagship relationship and its over-the-air partnership with the Cincinnati Reds.
A Morehead State University graduate, Rieffer began her broadcast career in Lexington, Kentucky, spending 24 years at the market’s Fox affiliate. She later managed Fox, NBC and CW station operations in Flint, Michigan.
The appointment brings an executive with station-management and local-sports partnership experience to WBTV. Her Charlotte role begins next month; the announcement does not name her successor in Cincinnati.
