CHARLESTON, South Carolina — John Hakim has been promoted to general manager of Charleston Media Solutions, Saga Communications’ local station cluster.
The appointment was reported October 7 by Radio and Music Pros, known as RAMP. Hakim spent the past five years as the operation’s director of sales.
He succeeds Paul O’Malley, who advanced to Saga’s senior vice president of revenue development role and will assist with the transition.
The cluster includes 101.7 Chuck FM, 92.5 Kickin’ Country, Mix 95.9 and Star 99.7. The internal promotion places an executive with established advertiser relationships in charge of the broader local operation.
