Compass Media Networks has secured exclusive national audio rights to the Pac-12 Conference’s football and men’s and women’s basketball championship events under a multiyear partnership with the conference and Playfly Sports.

The agreement, reported October 5, includes pregame programming, live play-by-play and postgame coverage produced, broadcast and marketed by Compass.

Coverage begins with the 2026 Pac-12 Football Championship on December 4. The package also includes the men’s and women’s basketball tournament championship games scheduled for March 13, 2027, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The announced package covers these championship events. It does not establish rights to every conference game or every game in the basketball tournaments.

Pac-12 Commissioner Teresa Gould described the agreement as a way to provide national audio access to three major events. Compass sports programming General Manager Robert Blum welcomed the addition to the network’s play-by-play lineup.

The RNN question: What local advertising inventory and digital permissions will an affiliate receive alongside the championship broadcasts?

Those terms determine whether the package gives a station a workable sponsorship opportunity, how it can promote the games and where listeners can hear them. Stations should obtain the specific affiliation and streaming terms before building a sales proposal.
