LOS ANGELES, California, and TOKYO, Japan — Avex has increased its ownership of S10 Entertainment to 85%, bringing the artist-management company closer to its broader global music operation.
The September 29 announcement includes an agreement to reach full ownership over time. The current transaction should therefore be described as 85% ownership rather than a completed acquisition of the entire company.
Brandon Silverstein continues as chief executive of S10 and Avex Music Group and assumes a broader role in shaping Avex’s global music strategy.
The deal follows Avex’s March 2025 acquisition of the S10 Music Publishing catalog. The company says its strategy connects recorded music, publishing, artist management, marketing, live entertainment and touring.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
For artists and songwriters, closer coordination can create opportunities across releases, promotion and live activity. Whether those opportunities materialize depends on the resources, agreements and decisions supporting individual careers.
The RNN question: When management and music rights move closer together, how do artists gain coordinated support while preserving independent advice?
The announcement establishes an ownership change and an expanded executive role. It does not by itself demonstrate improved commercial results for participating artists.
