CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA — The National Black Radio Hall of Fame honored six members of its 2026 class this week, recognizing achievement across station ownership, programming, performance and cultural influence.
Stevie Wonder received the African American Station Owner Award, highlighting his longtime ownership of KJLH in Los Angeles. Shirley Caesar received the Gospel Radio Personality Award, while Tony Gray received the Lifetime Media Achievement Award.
Skip Dillard was recognized through the Talented Brothers of Radio category. Chaka Khan received Radio Music Career Artist of the Year recognition, and Charlamagne Tha God was honored as a Radio Pioneer.
The organization says its 2027 induction gathering will take place in Orlando, Florida, although dates, venue information and nomination details have not been announced.
